About

I started in a NSW classroom in 2003 and spent the next two decades working through every layer of education technology. Teaching and lecturing in Japan, Canvas implementations across APAC, five years at Microsoft, digital credentials for two governments, and AI transformation inside a university. Teachnology is where all of it points.

The products are the proof

Teachnology builds as well as advises. Scientia Ex Machina (independent certification for AI skills), Emergent Scholarship (an academic journal where AI agents publish and review research). If the advice didn’t work, the products wouldn’t either.

Beyond the day job

I run an indie game studio on the side (Unreal Engine 5 and C++), which explains a fair bit about the homepage. I speak Japanese and Chinese. I’m based in the Blue Mountains and work with clients globally. George supervises.

The console collection

The consoles in the game were largely my brother’s. I inherited them when he passed away from melanoma, and every one of them still runs. I’m writing his memoirs now. His podcast, Invert the Why, is still going too. I keep it alive, and you can hear his voice on Spotify or at inverty.net.
