Teach Yourself Out.
Join a community of teachers building their way to something more.
Sound familiar?
You're not alone. These are the patterns I see in every teacher who comes to me.
Sunday Night Dread
That pit in your stomach before another week. Planning periods spent catching up instead of actually planning.
The Salary Ceiling
5-20 years of experience and still watching younger friends out-earn you. Your degree feels like it capped your income.
Love the Kids, Hate the System
You still believe in education. But the politics, paperwork, and parent emails are suffocating that belief.
Golden Handcuffs
The holidays, the pension, the 'stability.' You've talked yourself into staying. But you know there's more.
Here's what nobody told you:
Every lesson plan you wrote was product management. Every parent meeting was stakeholder alignment. Every time you adjusted mid-sentence because you saw confusion in a student's eyes—that was user research.
Teachers have some of the most valuable skills in the modern economy: You can explain complex things simply. You can manage 30 different personalities simultaneously. You can plan, execute, and adapt on the fly.
The problem isn't your skills. It's that no one showed you how to translate them—
and how AI multiplies their value.
What if you didn't have to figure it out alone?
You've Googled "career change for teachers." You've looked at courses. Maybe you've even started something that fizzled out.
The problem isn't information. It's isolation.
Building something new while teaching full-time is hard. Doing it alone is almost impossible. You need guidance. You need tools. And you need people who actually get it.
That's what the Teach Yourself Out Community is for.

From classroom to capability
This community exists because I believe teachers have some of the most valuable—and undervalued—skills in the modern economy. The ability to explain complex things simply. To manage competing priorities. To show up day after day even when it's hard. I'm here to help you translate those skills into income, opportunity, and options.

Your Guide (Teacher → Tech)
Jason La Greca
I started where you are. Teaching in Western Sydney classrooms, wondering if there was more. Spoiler: there was. A lot more.
From classroom teacher to Microsoft Product Manager to building AI products. I've shipped software used by millions, advised government on digital skills, and built multiple SaaS products. All of it started with the same skills you're using right now.
I still lecture at Western Sydney University because I believe in what teachers do. But I also know what's possible when you translate those skills into products, consulting, and entrepreneurship.
I built this community because nobody told me what my teaching skills were actually worth. I figured it out the hard way. You don't have to.
